This Technical Specification provides a common framework for defining probe data reporting management(PDRM) messages to facilitate the specification and design of probe vehicle systems and gives concretedefinitions of PDRM messages.This Technical Specification specifiesa) reference architecture for probe vehicle systems and probe data which incorporates PDRM based on thereference architecture for ISO 22837, andb) basic data framework for PDRM instructions, which defines specifically1) necessary conditions for PDRM instructions, and2) notations of these instructions (in XML).This Technical Specification also provides the rules for using PDRM instructions.Different types of PDRM messages are also identified and defined, such asa) PDRM messages consisting of individual instructions which define reporting aspects or requirements forprobe vehicle systems,b) start/stop all probe data reporting,c) start/stop probe data reporting of specific probe data elements, andd) generic scheme for conveying criteria for reporting specific probe data elements.PDRM instructions may be structured in terms of a time period in which they are valid (duration), geographicregion, and roadway heading to which the instruction applies.
