This International Standard defines terms used in thehose industry. The terms are listed alphabetically inEnglish. When a term has one or more synonyms,the synonymous term(s) follow the preferred termand are also listed in alphabetical order.Deprecated synonymous terms are indicated by“(deprecated)”. The expression "SEE" is used to referto another term (not always a synonym) whichcontains information related to the term precedingthe expression.This International Standard has been divided into twosections:2.1: Hose terms; and2.2: Hose assembly terms (includes Annex A:Recommended terminology and limits for electricalresistance, according to construction, of rubber andplastics hoses and hose assemblies for ISO andCEN standards).
