This International Standard specifies the construction, performance, type testing, and inspection fora ship borne marine facsimile receiver that receives meteorological charts transmitted by “Facsimiletransmission of meteorological chart over radio circuits” stated in accordance with World MeteorologicalOrganization (WMO) publication No. 386, Part III-5.This International Standard applies to ship borne radio facsimile receivers for the reception ofmeteorological charts and other graphical representation of meteorological conditions intended as anaid to navigation at sea.
