This International Standard specifies the chemical composition of magnesium alloy ingots. It also specifies thechemical composition of magnesium alloy castings and the mechanical properties of separately cast samplesof these alloys (see Clause 6). By agreement, this International Standard also specifies the mechanicalproperties of magnesium alloy castings determined from samples cut from a casting.
