This part of ISO 17215 specifies the communication requirements for video camera interfaces. Itis concerned mainly with layers 1 through 4 of the ISO/OSI basic reference model. These layers arethe physical layer, the link layer, the network layer, and the transport layer. Figure 1 presents thecommunication protocols specified in this part of ISO 17215 in relation to the ISO/OSI layers as well asthe content of the other parts of ISO 17215.
