This International Standard definesterms relating to the opticaltransfer function and indicates,where pertinent, the mathematicalrelationships between thoseterms. It also defines importantparameters that should be specifiedin connection with opticaltransfer function testing.Table 1 lists the notation and unitsfor the major parameters consideredin this International Standardand to be used in ISO 9335 andISO 9336.The terms and parameters definedin this International Standardapply to all measurements of theoptical transfer function for optical,electro-optical and other imagingsystems.
