This European Standard specifies the sizes of the backing plates, specimens and procedures for carrying outexternally loaded cold cracking tests by implant-test in order to obtain information about the cold cracking sensitivity during welding.This standard applies primarily but not exclusively to carbon, manganese and low alloy steels.
