This International Standard specifies the characteristics of seven types of butyrometer for use in thedetermination of the fat content of whole milk, partly skimmed milk and skimmed milk by the Gerber methodspecified in ISO 2446Recommended stoppers for the hutyrometers are described in AnnexA and a recommended method ofdetermining the scale errors of the butyrometers is described in Annex B.
