This International Standard gives a nomenclature, in English and French, of pliers and nippers for electronics.The pliers and nippers may be supplied with or without return springs or sleeves.The cutting nippers may be supplied with a safety device (lead catcher).NOTE 1The figures in this International Standard are given as examples only and are not intended to affect the manufacturer's design.NOTE 2In addition to terms used in the official ISO languages (English and French), this International Standard gives the equivalent terms in the German, Italian and Spanish languages; these are published under the responsibility of the member bodies for Germany (DIN), Italy (UNI) and Spain (AENOR). However, only the terms given in the official languages can be considered as ISO terms.
