This International Standard specifies the main di-mensions, design, technical requirements and ma-terials of the lower part of demountable signal masts and mast stands for fixing signal masts, for push-tow inland navigation vessels.NOTE 1 Demountable signal masts are located while in navigation on some barges of a push-tow in accordance with regulations valid for the corresponding navigation zone. When the signal masts normally fitted to the barges of a push-tow are not required, they are to be stored on the pushing vessel. In the case of demountable signal masts higher than the maximum height of 6,5 m, it is necessary for these masts to be collapsible and an inte-gral part of the push barge.
