This International Standard specifies the protective clothing, gloves, boots and helmet to be used by ships'crews in fighting fires on board ships. These outfits are appropriate for the fighting of small- tomedium-magnitude fires, before the operation of any installed fixed fire-fighting systems, and are not intendedor suitable for entry into flames.
